Neither shows any additional dealer markup, but regardless, it most certainly is not "very much cheaper".
In Canada... I have made a deposit for the GV70 2.5T. Here are the prices (no discounts) with taxes, etc..

Lexus
$71,898.49 (350H Executive)
$71,016.49 (350 FSport 3)

Genesis
$66,809.30 (Prestige trim) about $5K less

Genesis also includes 5 years of free maintenance (oil, air filter, etc) which they pick up your car - probably $1000-2000 free.

I was planning to spend $62,0000 (about $10K less) for the Advanced Plus trim (probably the best deal package for most people - it has almost everything).. which would be similar to the Lexus 350h/350 top trim. But I went for the top trim Prestige because I like the steering wheel/colour selection/sport look.

The Lexus has a nameplate, longe term reliability, and better resell value... But overall the genesis was a better car to me when I test drove it. Everyone should take a test drive!

My bad, I did a build long back and had an impression that it was in early 50s, and fixed in my mind that RDX and GV70 are around 50s, NX in 55s and XC60 near the 60s for the inscription. I rechecked and it's almost the same. Thanks for correcting.

What is your estimated delivery date for the Genesis? When I spoke to a dealer (2 different dealers) about 2 or 3 weeks ago I was told that a current order would be apx June - July delivery.

Earliest is May 2022 (probably between May - July), and it will be a 2023 model not 2022. All purchases of the GV70 are now the 2023 model.

That's interesting, any changes to 2023 GV70 from 2022 GV70?

No official confirmation... The possibilities

1. $500 increase in price (my sales rep this may happen, and no other changes according to my sales rep)
2. Add a new fingerprint reader in the dash, facial recognition, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, dash cam with recording option, and rear power-folding seats - An absolute speculation from a member of the genesis forum - take with a grain of salt.

Apart from everything, if they add HUD in 2.5T, it'll change the tide for me waiting forever for Lexus NX350H Luxury.

I was considering the GV70 Sport Prestige but then the GV60 caught my attention. The Performance model has 429 hp with a 10 sec sports boost up to 483 hp! Talk about fun. Was watching the Scottish Open golf a little while ago and they have one on one of the par 3’s next to a GV70. Some guy made a whole in one yesterday and him and his caddie one them. Golfer got the GV70 and caddie the GV60.

LOL, a kid's perspective on power; If you truly want to enjoy power get a sports car. But even then the power thrill only lasts so long!

Default GV70 requires Premium?

I've spent hours researching this and have come to the conclusion that NO vehicle REQUIRES Premium gas.Tgere have been extensive studies testing vehicles with different grades of gas to check the impact of the different grades. Their findings...
- Gas mileage - no difference- Cleaner emissions - no difference- Increased horsepower - no difference
I do believe this is another commercial attempt to sell us things we don't need. I will never use Premium in any vehicle.

PS, after testing Lexus NX, RX and GV70 2.5 and 3.5, I ordered a GV70 2.5T Prestige.

I ordered a 2023 GV70 2.5T Prestige in Canada. The only change was to add monobloc brakes like the 3.5T model. No other changes.

Actually, the GVs all require Premium higher compression and lack full EC adjustment. They also don't get very good mileage, but yes they have "pretty" good performance

We will have to agree to disagree. Even the dealers say they don't require Premium, it is recommended but not required. Based on my research, I'm not convinced any vehicle requires it.

Yes, it is required if they test the fuel and you had a catastrophic failure you could lose. High compression engines need premium turbos and superchargers also. If the car or engine isn't under any duress maybe you can get away with it. Knock sensors will be retarding timing to handle the knock and pinging. I'm sure you can get away with it at times but not needing underload is taking chances. Do you really think if they could tell you to run regular( a selling point) they wouldn't? - I've seen my knock sensors on my standalone running boost up to a certain level for the octane. Premium won't gain you anything mileage wise but the engine will appreciate it. Especially carrying four or five passengers.- "Premium gas doesn’t increase MPG efficiency at all. This is a common misunderstanding. Premium gas allows you to run a high-compression engine without pre-ignition (knocking or pinging), but in a low compression engine, it makes no difference."
