2022 NX - Canadian Trim Levels and Ordering Guide

Yup agree, would have been nice 350H, but they didn't have one, nor did they expect to get any soon.
Plus I was ready go when they took my trade and gave me way more than I though. No discount on the NX.

I’m seeing that everyone in here is getting news on their NX orders. The other guys in the ES forums have been saying that Lexus isn’t taking any special orders for “any” of their models. If this is true, then how is Lexus up in Cambridge, Ontario taking special orders and giving production and delivery dates? What’s up with that? Is the Cambridge, Ontario plant that builds the NX under different a different special order fulfillment policy than the ES350 plant in Kentucky? Why is Lexus taking special orders for the NX and not taking special orders yet for the ES350? What’s going on here?

Does anyone know for sure whether Cambridge Ontario has started producing nx yet?

“I see your Lexus has been ordered, but do not have an ETA yet.All parts come from Japan, but will now be assembled in Cambridge, Ontario. Once covid is over you will be able to tour the factory!”
I ordered it beginning of January. So I guess Cambridge has started assembling? When I ordered in January they told me it was being made in Japan though so… *shrugs*

These are the exact words from my dealer in Toronto. He emailed me yesterday:

Hopefully that means shorter timeframes for those of us still waiting.🤞🏽

Someone on a facebook group said it will start 2nd week of March. I couldn't fact check, but it seems aligned.

It's already the 2nd week of March right now. It's March 9th today. Can anybody in here confirm that NX production has already begun at the Cambridge, Ontario plant this week starting on the 8th of March.

Seems like there are new trim levels for the NX350 and the NX350h.
NX350: Luxury for $550 - Panoramic Moonroof
NX350h: Ultra Premium: $5,950 - same as Luxury, but minus the Panoramic Moonroof.
These are some interesting packages. Essentially making the pano roof a la carte, somewhat.
NX350: Luxury for $550 - Panoramic Moonroof
NX350h: Ultra Premium: $5,950 - same as Luxury, but minus the Panoramic Moonroof.

I wish I had option to not have to get the panoramic roof with my luxury package as I don't ever use the regular moonroof and never liked panoramic or moon roofs in my cars. But for $500 ...it's pretty cheap so not a big deal either way

I think this is result of Canadian factory coming online and they're able to have more variations?

That’s interesting! I chose the luxury package for the safety features but really didn’t want the moonroof. I ordered 2 weeks ago, wondering if I should request a change (not even sure if it’s possible).
Are there disadvantages of having a moonroof other than the $500 cost? I guess I wouldn’t mind paying the $500 in case I ever see value in it, but if there disadvantages such as heavier weight or less insulation, then that would tip the scales for me to remove it.
