What model of NX do you plan on purchasing?

I just had some wall cabinets installed in my garage. Before I had the work done. I had a 14-50 plug put in by my local electrician. It's a only a couple feet away from the Circuit Breaker Box. But it still cost a couple hundred dollars to have installed. For the Breaker, receptacle and special wiring. Plus, labor.

Normally, as demand for a commodity product falls, (like oil/gasoline) the price falls too.
There certainly is enough oil in the world that there's not going to be a shortage in our lifetimes, and likely not for generations beyond us either.

Wonderful discussion guys. I'm also getting an NX 350h in Premium Trim in Redline. My dealer told me the car is off the ship and is in transit. Might take a few more days, hoping it'll come next week. 2.5k markup on MSRP. But I have a much higher value on my current car (35k is what CarMax is offering) so it balances out for my wife and I.

In some ways, they have simplified the car. Hybrids don’t have starters or alternators. They don’t need them. I also like the performance of the newer eCVT transmission compared to the older and simpler CVT like we had in our Priuses.

Just picked up my NX350 yesterday
My first Lexus, I love it. I know there are more luxury ones and a hybrid and an F sport but this one caught my eye and they got me in it. I’ve wanted a Lexus for 30 years now lol. It’s a huge upgrade from the 2017 Wrangler Unlimited ****** I had before this, and no place to off-road a Jeep here in SoFL anyway.

Rich, congrats and enjoy. My wife and myself will be upgrading from a 2013 Ford escape titanium and a Honda crv exl. The escape rides nice and I'll miss it.. the honda runs nice but its light and blows allover the place.. Look forward to more luxury.. Looking at the 350 luxury loaded as soon as I can place a special order.

Looks nice! Those look like the 18" rims so just wanted to ask if you bought the Luxury package or the Premium? I am supposed to be getting one with the Luxury package and Lexus.com indicates 20" rims are included but the dealer can't confirm this is a fact.

The sub-discussion about why hybrid might be a better choice because of rising gas prices. For the most part, all of the discussion was relevant.

Although, you can base a 60K purchase on what your local electrical utility charges for electricity. If they are high now. They are not going to go lower in the future.
Another factory to consider is the 7.500 dollars Tax Credit. Toyota is almost at the 200.000 vehicle limit for the credit. So, if you get lucky and get a 450h+ this spring you might get the money. You get one this fall, and you will probably be out of luck.

Quick question regarding lease return/buyout. My 2019 NX F-Sport is listed for between 36 and 40k on trade-in sites. Carvana, KBB, etc. I have six payments left on my lease, and my buyout price is currently about 28500.
I am interested in a 22 F-Sport and there are some in my area. Would a dealer consider giving me the equity on my lease as a “down payment” on a lease for a 22? Basically, they give me 37500, but pay off my lease for 28500 and apply the other 9000 towards a new lease?
I would prefer this route rather than selling to Carmax, etc and paying off the lease, waiting for title, etc. I don’t want to be without a car. Thanks everyone!

A statement was made that Gas Prices are high. So, you need to get a Plug In. I made the statement that gas prices were also high two presidents ago. So don't base a 60K purchase on today's gas prices.

Yes, I was the one that mentioned gas prices:
YMMV,
