And those who plan on buying the NX450 Plug In. What is your strategy to get one? If you don’t live in a low emissions state?

Also how much over MSRP are you will to pay to get one?

It's between the Plug-In and the Hybrid. Not sure yet. I live in NJ so it might be easier to get the Plug-In.

I am not paying over MSRP for it. Best I'll do is pay sticker price. However, I have 6 months to make that decision as my current Lincoln lease is not up yet and the chip shortage/pricing situation may very well improve by then.

First choice by far the plug-in hybrid however like the Rav 4 Prime I think they will be impossible to find. I would be okay with the hybrid and get the plug-in next time. Will be interesting how they price the two with the plug-in having a $7,500 federal tax credit. This is one reason you can not get a Prime. After the tax credit it is a no brainer and actually less expensive. Adding to this part of the Democrats new legislation in the 3.5 trillion dollar bill is increasing the tax credits to $12,500.

I'm targeting an NX350, with the Luxury package - although if the 'Ultra Luxury' package from the Canadian guide posted the other day is a thing here in the U.S. I might go for that one. As for price, no more than MSRP - any more than that, and it's a sign that I should wait to purchase.

I was looking at getting a RAV4 Prime earlier this year. Then the new NX was announced. I would love to get a Plug In. But with all of the hoops and extra money it takes to get a RAV4 Prime. Limited availability in my state, Mark ups of 5 to 10K above MSRP. The possibility of only getting a part or none of the 7500 tax credit.

I'm guessing that the NX Plug In will be the same. But will see. I need to get a new vehicle and may just get a 250.

I'm shooting for a 350H AWD Luxury, but am in no hurry, and absolutely won't pay over MSRP for either the NX or a competitor (GV70).

I can wait for more normal market conditions to return.

I'm looking at getting the 450h+. I have pre-ordered with the dealership in Canada, but don't have much details like when it will arrive. I'm from Canada and our packages are very limited with the original preorder. If you wanted FSport, then it must be the FSport 3 package. In some ways it's fully loaded as much as you can.

350h with the 14 inch screen but the lease on my '21 300h doesn't expire until January 2024 so I've got plenty of time for the market and supply to settle down.

Default 350

Well looking for the 350 executive package.
but few things i need to know, as i'll be switching from an nx300 2018 sport3.

Is the front grill of the 350 sport similar to the 350 executive ? Because on the 2018 models it differs a lot.
does the executive have ventilated seats?
what will i miss in the sport 3 package by going to executive ?

Is the plant where the 450H+ built a "union" plant?

If not, the new Build Back Better legislations $12,500 EV credit won't apply.

I could be mistaken, but I believe that the 2022 NX will be built either in Canada or Japan, which would make them ineligible for the tax credit.

If they were going to be built in the US, it would probably be at the Kentucky factory that builds the RAV4 (hybrid, at least), and I believe that is a non-union plant.

I'm all for tax credits, but not the BBB you will be paying for more than a $12,500 credit.

All tax credits do is raise the price of the vehicle. Maybe that incentivizes manufacturers to build them, but for the rest of us, it just means we pay $7.500 more, up-front, plus TTL on top of the $7,500. Same thing with the mortgage interest deduction, which we can never get out of because doing so deflates existing home prices, punishing those who bought under it, but we'd be a whole lot better off as buyers without either of them.

Regardless, was looking at a PHEV, may still get one if they can be had at MSRP, but I ordered a Mach E, which won't even be built until at least the 2nd quarter of 2022. The MME came in about $6K less due to several factors but mostly that the PHEV is only good for about 1/2 my weekly mileage. Still, I'd prefer the Lexus name to the Ford, and it scored better on my matrix, but I guess we'll see if they show up, if I fit, and if I could get one. Can always cancel the order.

Edit: Corrected which name I'd prefer. Had Ford > Lexus.

I am going to get Redline NX 350h with Luxury and Mark Levison at MSRP. They are giving me a phenomenal trade-in on Golf R. My first Lexus purchase since my CT200h
