I use Turbo Tax. Last year I paid almost 10K in Taxes. So if I purchase a 450h. I apply for the credit. So would my return be accepted right away like normal? Or would I have to wait for the IRS to verify the credit? Then later approve the return?
We did the credit on a Prius back in the early days when credits were still available for that model. It was easy as pie. We just included the information in TurboTax when we filed. It was NOT a separate process nor did it require any further approvals. This was 15 years ago but I can’t imagine it has changed.

We use Turbo Tax as well. There's a section where you enter some basic info on the car, like VIN, vehicle weight, and battery capacity which is what is used to calculate the amount of the tax credit. It was the about normal time frame as when filing without claiming an EV credit. I have no idea what IRS does to verify, but I suspect it'd be easy for them to verify with the state DMV at the very least.

Edit: I just looked, the NX450 is not in the database yet so it doesn't officially exist yet.

Very good review. I know his reviews tend to be more performance oriented, but he gave the NX a fair shot. It's a luxury car, not a performance car, and he reviewed it as such.

The other big difference is that you can get an F Sport Package with the 350h (Hybrid) but not so in North America. The F Sport package is what moved me to a 450h+ as opposed to a 350h.

Canadian cars also have some interesting regionalizations that USDM vehicles won't have.

Same for me. Picked 450h+ because the 350h did not have FSport trim.

This is a new review just came out yesterday and I think they are great by testing the lower trim model (350h with Premium trim only)
