Has anyone had any success sending text messages or having text messages read to you via Hey Lexus? Hey Siri doesn’t seem to come up. Every time I try it tells me I need to connect my phone in device settings. My phone is connected and the primary phone. I have Apple Car Play turned on as well. When I try clicking the unread message nothing happens. It’s just a blank screen with the cancel option at the top left. I have never had to read my vehicle manual before and I’ve been glued to it since purchasing my vehicle.

edit: I finally figured it out. Although Hey Siri works on my phone, there are options in the iPhone settings that need to be enabled.

You can use either CarPlay or Lexus, but not together when it comes to phone communication.

That definitely makes sense. When I made the post I had no idea hey Siri would even work. I went back on this forum searching to see if anyone else had the same issue and saw a similar post where other members could say hey Siri. When I tried saying “hey Siri” while Apple CarPlay was up nothing happened. Then I knew there was something turned off on my phone.

Are you able to share what settings on the IPhone need to be enabled as I can not get Talk and Text to work either.
