Delivery date almost here - tech setup questions
The latest arrival date range we were given for our 350h Premium is 2/17 - 2/19. But we are having the dealer get the front windows tinted and, of course, they have to get it unloaded, unwrapped, and prepped for delivery as well. So, we are shooting for this Sunday to pick the car up. Love all the new tech but not loving hearing all the potential issues as ours will have the 14" screen along with the memory profiles included with the premium package, and also the smart key/digital key option. I'm fine with keeping it simple to start with if that's what it takes to avoid a lot of headaches until things are worked out. That means possibly forget the smart key/digital key stuff and then create only 1 profile and pair only my wife's phone with Carplay, etc. Our biggest thing to begin with is the memory stuff for the seats and mirrors. We generally grab and use the same FOB no matter who is going to drive the car. If we try to keep it simple, as described, but still set up 2 different memory settings for her and for me, should we be able to avoid some of the tech headaches I'm hearing about until things are updated and working more smoothly?

Coming from a single user setup, I haven’t had any tech issue aside from the rare instances where my phone needs to be repositioned to charge on the wireless charging pad. I’ve used all the technology otherwise flawlessly. Wireless CarPlay, seat memory, lock and walk away, remote start, hands free trunk opening are just some examples. Go all in. If something doesn’t work, at least you know there’s a bug there.

No issues for me either on single profile. Downloaded the Lexus app and the dealer scanned the barcode on the media display and it went smoothly. I also set it for for my wife as you described. Set my preferences to memory 1 for seats and hers to memory 2. Just grab any key fob, push a memory button and all is good. I didn’t do the digital key thing since I’m world famous for leaving my phone in the car, so didn’t figure that would be a good idea 😁.

There aren't any NX's anywhere around to even be driven, let alone bought here in Wisconsin, but I have found a very helpful video series on Youtube that personally, is where I'd start with any of this stuff.
It's a Texas based dealer Tech specialist who IMO does an outstanding job of explaining literally step by step.
YMMV!
