Default How is AWD of NX450h+ different from "E-Four", Mercedes' 4Matic, and BMW's xDrive?

Hi...I'm very new to Lexus AWD system especially for NX450h+.
I wonder how the AWD of NX450h+ is different from Toyota's E-Four, Mercedes' 4Matic, and BMW's xDrive? Any info?

Thanks!

Completely different system. Toyota developed the system years ago in the Highlander Hybrid and later adapted it for other models. Rear drive is electric only, no mechanical connection to the front.
