Sorry I wasn’t sure if you’re asking a question or being sarcastic BUT let me clarify, we used the actual puddle light (pictures posted in this thread) NOT the projector style on most of the vehicles except for 2 vehicles that uses projector style. Yes some of the older models uses incandescent bulb and I switch it out to led and my last RX I swap out led to led. I changed my brother 2012 RX from reg bulbs to led about 4 yrs ago and still going strong with ZERO PROBLEMS!!!

They should not, but I found a few reviews where the cheap aftermarket light immediately caused a fuse to blow due to short. I guess the luck of the draw ion the cheap QA area. One could test for a short, I suppose, before installing.

My 2022 NX-350 does not have puddle lights but I want to add just LED lights, I do not want to projector style lights as I don't want a logo on the ground. Does anyone know where I can just buy the LED lights that would be plug and play? All I can seem to find is the style that projects the logo on the ground.

Please look at post #58 in this thread as I posted my puddle light not the projector style. Not sure if that’s what you’re referring to but hopefully it’ll give you an idea!

Thank is exactly what I am looking for, can you send me a link of where you bought them? I don't want to cut any wires, I just want them plug and play and that looks like what you have. Thanks for the help with this.

Just got our puddle lights!
Any tricks or special tools needed for removing the OEM puddle lights? Thanks

So you have OEM puddle lights? The projector or just lights? If you have lights you just swap bulbs as along as they’re 194 LED style bulbs. If you have the projector ones it’s just plug and play. All you need is a flat head screwdriver but if you have pry tools that’ll probably be better. On the drivers side pry the light from the right side and passenger pry from the left side

Sorry,I should’ve been more clear. Currently have the OEM NX450H+ puddle lights and purchased a pair of “Lexus” projector puddle lights. I searched and some people used a trim removal tool(plastic) and I considered using a small screwdriver but did want to dig into the plastic door panel.

I have switched out five lights for puddle lights mine and friends with no problem. I use a very thin putty knife.

Hi,

Danny200t or anyone else - Do you happen to have the part number of the original lamps you took out ? These would be the stock, non "Lexus" projecting ones ?

I too have a CND Vehicle, tried to find it on-line but I get multiple part numbers and the dealer has no clue. I am trying to source the standard lamp.

Thank you !

My 23 450h+ came with them already installed in Japan. This is what I have. I hate them. There is not enough light to even see anything if there was a puddle. Thinking about swapping them out for plain lights.

The plain puddle lights are also very dim, I would not bother getting them. OTOH, addcarlights.com are much brighter and cheaper than OEM.
