Profiles

They should have put more offline capability into the car. Although every mfg seems to be headed to the connected car model, some of the others seem to build more functions into the cars as a redundancy. They should really assume the last person that drove is driving....if a authorized key fob is used, unless we tell the car otherwise. And those setting should be stored locally. Its not as if this is theft deterrence, the car drives fine, you just can't use connected features. Lexus is trying to protect their revenue stream by making it harder on all paying customers to not provide service in a small fraction of actual cases.

You first need to set up the other driver with their own login and PW on the Lexus App, and then you can use that information when you are prompted to add a new Driver Profile. You don't need to Add Vehicle for this second profile.

Hope this is not too confusing, it is easier to understand once you sit in front of the screen in the car, but the biggest frustration I had was trying to add a New Profile for my wife before she had an account on the Lexus App.
Thx

@Birdman325 So in your case did you set your wife up as a Guest since you are the Primary Driver and user of the App?

We just got a NX and took on a road trip the last few days with only my wife’s keys that are paired to her profile. Every time I drove I had to switch profiles and enter my PIN. If I pair my profile to my phone, will it recognize when I enter through the driver’s door?

Is the only way to create a new profile with the phone app?
I can't just take the extra key (not the primary driver's key), sit in the car, and type a new name into the system? This is how my older BMW worked.
I don't really care about the app and primary driver, but there are 1 or 2 other people that drive my car sometimes and I'd like to just punch their name in as a new profile and they can set their seats and mirrors and all that. Them having to install the Lexus app, create a Lexus account etc etc seems absurd if they only drive a couple times a year. I just want them to be able to hop in, select their name on the screen, radio and seats change, and be done with it.
