Default Phone Holder

I wanted to get my cell phone up where I could monitor messages, etc. and leaving it in the car charger didn't work for me. I got the Weathertech CupFone with the extension (to bring it higher) and StickySleeve (to make the CupFone fit snugly and not wiggle around). Everything is working fine. The CupFone is over priced but does the job.

CupFone in cup holder (adjusts to your phone)

StickySleeve is a must to keep it from wiggling around in cup holder.

CarPlay or android auto didn’t do it?

I find I can just leave the phone on the wireless tray.

I can read text messages but I'm not having any luck getting Android Auto to work with Gmail and Amazon Alexa, that's why I have to still use my phone. If you have any pointers on how to get Android Auto to read Gmail it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would make sure that gmail is working first and then make sure notifications are enabled for android auto. I have been using my iPhone with my car, but others have not reported any email issues with Android. I would work the tech issue and resolve that, even if you had to make an appointment with the Lexus dealership.
