Wood trim inlays
Hello folks,
My Canadian-model NX is the Luxury trim, which unlike Ultra-Luxury and Executive, comes with some cheap-looking plastic inserts:
I know that these aren't really sold as accessories, but my question is about getting the open-pore wood inlays somewhere on the side.
I would assume that they are/can be ordered from the dealer for "repair" purposes, or from an autobody/collision shop in case they are damaged.
Does anyone know how one would go about getting them, or if there is some sort of service manual to get them out? I'd assume it's just an adhesive holding them in.

Yup me too...really don't like the glossy black inlays. One of the good things about the Germans is you can pretty much customize inlays on all trims (but they also usually cost few hundred and so many variations that you basically have to take it
Im sure once production/deliveries pick up, there'll be options for be it dealer or aftermarket to change it. Maybe even a laser cut film or something

Dealer parts department can probably help you get the parts.
I recommend you see the wood finish in person with the interior color combo you have. Of course, since the material is wood, every piece will vary, so you won't get exactly the same look, but you can decide if it's worth the trouble/cost.
