Default Hey Lexus voice command

I picked up my NX450 yesterday. The new infotainment system is good but very unfamiliar even coming from a 2018 GS and a 2020 RCF. However, I was very impressed with the Hey Lexus voice command feature. I got it to do a few things while driving without much effort on my part:
1- Turned on the radio and tuned to different stations
2- Turned on the heat
3- Set the ambient lighting
4- Set the clock to GPS
5- Changed the display screen mode

I will be exploring this feature more in the days to come. Lexus has created a real winner here IMHO.
Also, the NX450 is worth every penny they charged me at MSRP

My car's a 2018 RCF (the NX is the wife's car) so I have the same perspective on the voice control. We've had the car for a month now and the voice control continues to impress, particularly entering destinations, it recognizes much more complex commands than in my car, such as "Go to the Shell station in Soledad, California". I had tried Android Auto, but between some bugs and how well the Lexus recognizes commands, I'm not using AA right now.

My biggest issue is that even driving occasionally, I trained myself on the NX gear selector, so when I'm back in my car I'm struggling putting it in gear correctly

Regarding the gear selector, I think I will have the same issue. The NX is my DD now, and the RCF is the garage queen, fair weather car. In the NX, I found myself putting the car in reverse when I meant to park
We should make a thread of cool Hey Lexus commands.

I own a CT200h and it's the same gear selector and my previous NX was the traditional one. So I had already trained my brain a while ago and that is why I do not have this problem. I have a bigger problem with the door handle/opener. I find myself occasionally reaching for a door handle and then figuring out that it's the button to press.

I have a problem using Hey Lexus because when I activate it, it does not mute the music and I am fighting over the music trying to get heard by hey Lexus. A pretty poor design I would say. Also when a text comes in via Apple CarPlay and you go to play the text the music does not get muted either. It gets somewhat turned down but you are still fighting the music to hear the messages playing.

Two more commands:
1- When the music was playing, I got Hey Lexus to increase the volume by simply saying "louder", after "Hey Lexus" of course
2- I could adjust the bass setting by saying "more bass"

You might try saying "Hey Lexus," and then waiting for it to ask how to help, and then you can proceed with your instruction. When I do this, it silences whatever I'm listening to on Apple CarPlay.
Of course, when there aren't distracting noises, you can run the wake-up command together with the instruction to avoid the time it takes for the pause.

More commands are listed in the Multimedia Owners Manual, Section 1-4. Intelligent Assistant, starting page 41. Even if I don't word my commands exactly the same, the car usually still figures it out. The entire Section 1-4 is a quick read.

I played with this a bit more, and I found that when playing the Radio instead of CarPlay, it does NOT silence the Radio. Odd that it functions differently between the two sources. This would be a good suggestion to Lexus to make it all work like with CarPlay.

Or like every Lexus before this....I suspect this is a bug, I can't imagine any reasonable designer wants customers to be constantly told 'I'm sorry, I can't understand you.', which is pretty annoying.
