On board charger on Canadian Spec 450H+
New to the forum. Just took delivery of my 450H+ with the F-Sport 3. I will post my thoughts and experiences on a later post.
Question I have is that I know that there is a 6.6 kWh on board charger option on US Spec Plug ins but in Canada, this was not offered.
Does this mean that we have the 6.6 as standard? or do Canadian Spec models only get the 3.3 and we are out of luck with the upgrade?
Apologies if this has been answered before.
Thanks!

Thanks! We were lucky. We put our deposit down back in September. About 4 weeks ago, we changed our order from the base ultra luxury edition to the F-Sport 3. We were told that even though that meant we were at the bottom of the list for F-Sports, It would still be quicker then if we kept our place in line for the base model. Our salesperson said that only 1 out of every 10 or 11 450H+'s were the base model. We were told hopefully by the end of the year. Then lo and behold, someone had to cancel their order which had the exact same interior and exterior colour and F-sport package. Since we had a relatively new trade in to give them, we were bumped up to the top of the list. Most dealerships are starving for product these days, (new or used) so having a late model trade in will greatly increase your chances of getting one earlier.

The 2022 federal budget is apparently increasing the base vehicle price to expand the $5000 EV rebate eligibility. I would imagine the 450h+ will qualify in the near future. That base model would be such a good deal at sub 60k pre taxes and fees. The only problem will be supply as always.

I doubt they will retro apply it to the cars purchased prior to the change. I hope they do.. at least Jan 1 2022.
