The car you want to order is in production? If you have not ordered it, then it's probably already spoken for.
If it's your order then I guess they mean it coming, unless a shortage happens, strike, covid, etc...
Sorry for not being too optimistic, but I don't believe anything a dealer tells me, until it's on the showroom floor!

Good luck and fingers crossed you get it in the next 6-8 weeks!

yeah i agree with you but nothing in any showroom now !!!
Either an order of my choice that will take 4 to 5 months for production , or an already model in production for 2 months!!!

I put down a deposit the very last week of Nov 2021, and received a call for a 350H with Luxury package in Feb..... I passed the car because I did not want a red interior... Fast forward to early July I finally got a call for my ideal ext. color (cloudburst gray) and a black interior with lux... Dealer said it would be here end of Aug / Early Sep... What a wait

My understanding is - when the order status is "In Production", then this car has a special VTN (Not VIN) and it has an assigned production date, which could be 1-2months from when the order status changed to "In Production". There should be ETA to dealership date with such "In Production" order.
My order changed to "In Production" at the mid/end of June with ETA to dealership date of mid-September.

Sounds like we have the same timeline of delivery. I put a deposit down last week with vin allocation for atomic silver with black interior lux package. Hopefully your wait won’t get pushed out any further..keep me posted when you get yours. I’m curious how the black interior with open pore wood trim looks in real (not a model pic) would look like.
