Is “ total average fuel economy“ the menu
For the miles per gallon that you are getting in real time until you reset it? I thought I had a miles per gallon setting didn’t say “total” or something but I guess this is the only option right?
is there a way to change this on the screen and not on the dashboard using the buttons either with HUD or without?
in other words I don’t wanna know what the miles per gallon is at that instant, I wanna know what the miles per gallon is at the moment since I’ve reset it which is the way most people do it I assume. Average I guess I mean.

Not sure if I know what you mean, but here goes.
I optioned the readout on the dash right in front of me to read mpg...or in my case liters/100k...regardless. This was done by toggling the controls on the steering wheel till the option was chosen. It can show other stuff like gear, direction, boost, etc
My understanding is it is a read out since your last reset. It is not, a at that moment, kind of read-out. It is a collection of all your driving since reset. I suspect that this is the case as 99% of my driving is all stop and go slow city driving and the mileage sucks!
The last few days I was on the highway and the average came down considerably. It now reads 11.2, rather than 16.5! My 6.2L GMC 4x4 with 35" tires got that!
Hope this helps, as is the info you were looking for.

My car only has a couple hundred miles on it so I’m hoping gets better when it gets broken in.
And the car 90% of the time does NOT automatically go into EV MODE when going slow or stopped at light, I always have to put it into the mode.

Yup, not too impressed with the city average. 20MPG us gallons is not too bad. I don't have my calculator to determine what 16 l/100km is but I know it's not good or what the estimated mileage is as stated by Lexus.
I drive like an old mad, putting along, usually around the speed limit, very slow starts, glide to a stop. NO WAY this gets close to mileage in the city that Lexus says is does.NO WAY!!! Yes I have only 800Km or around 480 miles so I'll give it time. That being said I will not own this vehicle very long. I already put a deposit in for the new RX 450 or 500 or 550...what ever they are going to call it. Hybride or electric I don't care anymore.
Love the NX but just want something slightly bigger and better on fuel around the city. All ready have the 220 ready to go!
