Wow. Sorry this happened to your new Lexus.

Here's a thought, repaint the whole bumper then put some PPF to fully protect it going forward.

Can you -manually- wash your bumper and take another clearer/cleaner pic of the scratch and show us. No matter what direction you take, post a clearer before and after photo.

Good luck!

I highly agree with the PPF. From your photo, it looks like there are a ton of contaminants on the paint that will cause continuous issues if not protected.

Those contaminants are a million dead bugs from a road trip. I was trying to wash them off when I ruined my paint with the edge of the washer.

If you plan on taking any future road trips, definitely get the PPF installed at a reputable shop once the bumper is repaired.

Wow, That looks fantastic! Hope you give them a great review.

I would not be messing with the front for at least a few days....let her really set...maybe they told you that?

Awesome, glad it worked out......NO MORE scrubby brushes!!!!!!

The problem wasn't the brush it was that I hit with the hard plastic side.

Yeah these guys are great. Key litmus test was the wife said it looked new.

These guys have a string of reviews about paint blends that say they came out perfect, plus the lifetime warranty makes them seem confident. If it fades weird or cracks they fix it.

OP, your bumper looks great and well, new, like it should be, Once the paint cures, PPF and forget it.

I asked the owner that fixed my bumper about PPF. He said expensive and only helps for chips. He said for the ceramic if you get any sort of damage you have to redo the whole thing. He didn't seem to think it was worth it.

Of course a body shop doesn't like PPF less work for them. You should get it for sure. Congrats on the beautiful repair.

I just messaged four ppf places with good reviews.

So, front only or whole car? The clear bra only or the clear bra and a ceramic coating?

Ideally PPF on the entire car but that gets $$$$$$. If not then bumper, hood, fenders, headlights and mirrors is "good enough". Ceramic coating on PPF is icing on the cake.

One place I contacted here in central Illinois, the only place in our town, said the whole car would run about $6K.
