Default What car did your 2nd gen NX replace?

I haven't bought one yet, but if I do, it will be replacing my 2019 RDX. Had a lot of issues with the car so don’t want to own it outside of warranty (even with an extended warranty because that excludes the infotainment).

One thing that I appreciate about Honda/Acura is that that shopping process is so simple: Pick a drivetrain, pick a color combo, pick a trim level. Done. No pages and pages of options. Every manufacturer should follow this unless they build-to-order.

By comparison, shopping for NX is so complex so one has to understand in depth all the options and try to find a car that isn’t missing a dealbreaker while likely paying for options one doesn’t care about, even though it is theoretically possible to not have to.

Unfortunately dealer has nothing in a color combo with a drivetrain and package that I want to even take a deposit (350h luxury or 450h+, white or silver, palomino or black). So right now, I'm just waiting to even hear that they have something coming in so that I can put a deposit on it. In the meantime I'm just reading reviews of the cars. The more I think about, the more I lean towards the 350h -- no need to plug it in all the time/no need to install L2 charger, lighter weight, significantly lower cost since MSRP and dealer markup are both lower. Let's see if/when it happens.

Had a 2018 f sport 3. Now 350 executive. Maybe the canadian market made it easy going from luxury to ultra luxury and executive at the top, same in the sport packages. So you have 3 options to choose from.

Default 2013 rx 450h

RX450H 98k miles, one of the first Lexus hybrid SUVs. We owned it for 9 years and had zero issues with the hybrid batteries and drive train. It’s ride was the same at 98k as it was at 5k. Great car. We got about 26 mpg and with our new NX we get 39 mpg.

2019 Hyundai Tucson going to our son, Nice vehicle but not enough power and disappointing fuel mileage. 22 mpg over 30K. Looking forward to 39 mpg and better power. Wife loves hybrids and is excited to be back in one after owning a prius years ago. She hates getting fuel all the time. First luxury vehicle and looking forward to it.

Departing a 2019 Volvo XC40 to an NX 350h. Couldn’t be a happier camper as it is expected to arrive end of this month!

Default 2007 IS250 awd

My NX replaced my 2007 IS250 AWD with 236k kms. The IS was a great car and I enjoyed it while I had it. Comfortable, classy looks, decent performance and hassle-free ownership.

But it was becoming long in the tooth with no modern technology (think connectivity and safety features), not the best on gas, and it certainly didn't have that new car smell anymore😜

I'm enjoying driving my NX

2018 Toyota Highlander Limited. Had a nice stable, smooth and quiet ride. The V6 engine was really a great engine. But the gas mileage and lack of apple car play and NX infotainment screen pushed me to getting the NX 350h premium. I am very happy with my decision and getting 43.5 mpg average since new. I got 44.9 mpg my most recent fill up. So really happy

My incoming fully loaded NX350 Luxury is replacing my beloved, only one-year-old LC500 convertible. A medical issue requires that I get into something more comfortable than the low-to-the ground, snug all around LC, and I'm looking forward to the NX.

Wink 2016 Volkswagen Golf R

Replacing 2016 Volkswagen Golf R 6 speed manual DAP, color Tornado Red.

Interior size and apace is almost the same as NX, but much shorter in overall length 168.4 inches compared to NX's 183.5

Great power rated at 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds. 2.0 Liter turbo, 292 Hp 280 ft-lbs torque. No 4 cylinder noise everyone complains about on NX 350t

Good mileage on regular, mid-range every other tank 14.5-gallon tank (400+ mile range) averages about 28 mpg. highway around 31

DAP adds dynamic cruise, lane keep assist, rain-sensing wipers, and parking proximity alert.

The individual driving mode you can set and it is persistent betweeen starts: exhaust, ride: comfort, normal, sport

AWD

++++++

Mods:

added spare tire and jack, with a zip tool there was room under the back seat to put the spare which VW should have done.

Added additional dynamat sound deading in the front doors.
Added partial front PPL
Added Sigma 6 short shifter and shift ****,
Ungraded Fender audio with better speakers
Escort Redline Radar Detector

==========
What do I gain with Lexus NX 350h?

Mark Levinson audio - and contrary to what young-ends in the letters generations think. Audio is not just about loudness and subwoofer size. The is brightness and clarity and other qualities not found in lower-level systems such as Pioneer and JBL.

Lexus quality and quietness. I like Lexus best for this in the past.

Ventilated/heated front seats

Heads Up Display
Great COLOR combination:: Redline and Palomino ( every decade or so Lexyus gets the colors right!, I had a)

LEXUS-DIGITAL KEY, SMARTACCESS CARD KEY, AND WIRELESS CHARGER -so so. I will implement it correctly so I won't have all the problems some early adopters encounters by trying to activate all method and profiles and apps at once and then sign into pg] the phone app , carry smart key, and car keys and sign into profile all at the same time.

2000 lb towing /activity mount
panoramic roof

Power rear door with kick sensor - Woop -de- Do
