How much does the following maintenance usually cost? Looks like these are the comment items on the maintenance schedule
  •
    • Replace Engine Oil And Oil Filter
    • Replace Cabin Air Filter
    • Rotate tires
    • Replace Engine Air Filter
    • Replace Brake Fluid
    • Clean HV Battery Cooling Intake Filter
And how much do those "inspect" items on the maintenance schedule cost? The salesperson sold me that each service will rotate among the cost of $300, $600, and $900, but I can't make sense of that number.
Essentially, for a Lexus NX, ES, or most other Lexus models, the recommended maintenance intervals include only an oil change every 10,000 miles or year, tire rotations at 5000 mile intervals, and the brake fluid at 30,000 mile intervals.

I took all of my Lexus vehicles to the local Toyota dealer for regular maintenance. They charged me $50 (until recently, it had been only $40) for full synthetic oil changes with a $10 coupon that was always available. The charge for the tire rotation was $10, and the brake fluid change was a little over $100. All of the inspections were done at no charge. That adds up to under $300 for a 3 year period of time. (The engine air filter and cabin air filter can be replaced yourself in less than 5 minutes and they can be bought at any auto parts store, Walmart, etc. for less than $25.)

Had I had the same work done at a Lexus dealer, it likely would have cost between $500 and $600 for the same 3 year period, but that is because Lexus dealers operate their service departments based on the belief that, if people are willing to pay a premium price for a Lexus vehicle, they will also be willing to pay a premium price for the same service that could be done much less expensively at a Toyota dealer or with an independent mechanic. When the dealer is trying to convince you to buy the pre-paid maintenance plan and when they tell you that required service will cost $300, $600, or $900, depending on the service interval, they are getting those numbers by including things that Lexus does not recommend or require or that are not all needed.
