I'm looking at 18" for my winter tires and when the 20" rft are close to done, then will check out what is best.

Keep 20" and go with non-run-flat. Currently, there are limited right now the selection will be bigger in the future. Right now, I plan to use 20 run-flat tires until they show wear, probably about 20k, and then replace them with non-run-flat. The current choice is MICHELIN CROSSCLIMATE 2 235 /50 R20 104V XL BSW.

This should be your plan also!

YMMV,

Makes sense. Still need to get a car, though. Unknown wait period for color combo and trim I want.

4 days old car with 230 miles on the clock. 25 miles return home from work. 22 miles on the hwy avg around 68 mph ish. Max use of hybrid EV mode for the last 3 miles after freeway exit.
I just chill while i drive and treat this as a cruiser.

Just reiterating this person's post in case a few of us missed it. I did the same thing on other hybrid forums.

no amount of hypermiling or "learning how to drive hybrid" will convert a USA mpg to a UK mpg. Short cut is take the UK mpg and divide by 1.2 to convert to USA mpg. Or likewise just multiply the US mpg by 1.2 to convert to UK mpg. When i say UK, i really mean any place that uses imperial gallons.

so if you're getting 38 USA mpg, then you're really getting about 45-46 UK mpg.

Drove to LA today from irvine and drained my EV battery and then charged it bak up in LA to full at Shell. (Yes Shell has some chargers around the LA area) oddly the charging station was having communication problems so I was able to charge at no cost to full or about full around 94% Then drove that back home and then fully charged it up again when back in Irvine. And to my surprise my car said 41 EV Range I couldn't be happier with the car and the efficeicny of this automobile combined with it's comfort is truly something of a spectical. I've been a toyota Loyalist for 24 years ever since I started driving and this one just really makes me happy.

Congrats! You're averaging about 2.9 miles/kWh without having really trying, given more of the same, you might even reach 43 miles range soon. When your commute fits the car's EV range like this, or round trip around the range, the utility of the car is pretty amazing, but if you need it, you still have 14 gallons of gas to take you anywhere you need to go.

Always feels like winning the jackpot to me when a charging station ends up being free, even if it is only a few dollars most of the time. There's a few older stations that give you free charging for the first hour or two, I found one at a grocery store the other day.

I know but the older ones as you probably know end up charing too slow at least for me. They're called Volta and it's like 1-2 miles an hour so at a grocery, lol who shops at the grocery for over an hour? I find it laughable about the people complaining in the APP about pepople hogigng them because well I mean at 1-2 mile an hour of course you're hogging it, lol. It's just not worth it. I mean I suppose something is better then nothing but even then it's not like to fully charge the car was ever that expensive. For me the most it's ever costed was just under five dollars.
