Default Anyone regret the 9 inch screen?

Have a premium trim arriving in 3-4 weeks with the 9 inch screen. Anyone regret not getting the 14 inch screen?

Also thoughts on resale? Say I put in a factory order for a luxury trim, and trade my premium trim when the luxury arrives in 3-6 months, what would my trade in be worth at that point?

If you are having thoughts that you would rather have the Luxury trim, just don't accept the premium trim. Wait for the luxury. It will probably be a 2023 at that point. No depreciation that way. Dealer will sell the original order in a week or so.

I was at the dealership last week, chatting with sales and finance people and looking at inventory, of which there wasn’t much of any. Based on that and the trade value I received last month for my LC500, if things are like they are now (and you take good care of the vehicle without running up the mileage), you’ll probably get 85-90 percent of what you paid, maybe more.

You should look at Autotrader to check the value of a nearly new NX. Around here they are going for more than MSRP lightly used.

No regrets on the 9.8" screen which is basically iPad size and already larger then what is in most other vehicles.

One thing I found out with the screens; If you get the 9" screen it comes with none of the Lexus Connect subscriptions, while the 14" comes with a 3 year "trial". So that there is worth over $1,000 by itself (assuming you have all three: Safety, Drive, Remote)

The 9" comes with two out of three of the three year trials. Just not whichever one has the navigation.

No regrets on the smaller screen here. With CarPlay or Android Auto, the navigation is redundant.

Is that a recent change? i could have sworn when we got our NX (April) nothing was included?

We took delivery the first of May and before doing so spent quite a while on this board and knew before we got it that we got all but the navigation package. If we ever took it on a trip we'd use my phone for navigation so that's no real deal for us. PLUS - we'd likely take my 2015 RX anyway.

When my RDX decided to attempt to kill me by going into limp mode in front of a semi truck, I drove straight to the Lexus dealer and bought my NX. The NX was on the lot and had the FSport package which is what I wanted. I was very lucky to simply walk in and buy the car I wanted. Timing is everything. With this said, I had to take what was available, including the 9” screen. No regrets - this display is plenty big.

Indeed. When I was trying to buy my NX both vehicles I test drove had 9.8" displays and they were very nice. The only thing I didn't care for was the expanse of shiny black plastic around the display.

Incidentally, the 14" display (which I have) will ruin other cars for you - my wife's Highlander has a 7"(?) display, which always seemed perfectly adequate to me. No more - now it's comically undersized to my eyes...plus is angled completely wrong.
