Default Carbon Fiber Trim

This isn't an ad or anything, but I seem to have started buying random things for my NX.
One of which was to cover up the piano black trim in the NX.

Unfortunately, I can't install it right now as due to a small issue, I have to replace some plastic bits (well, my dealer does).
In any case, so far so good. I'll do a dry fit after and take some more pics, but first impressions are generally good. The plastic is of good quality, ABS. The print is also fine. Very glossy, but doesn't look bad.
I don't know how it will fit in my Palamino interior, or how it will fit completely, but it doesn't feel cheap.

The total for the parts below was around $100 CAD.
Fun fact - I had asked to get the glossy stuff wrapped, and the quote was $400 + taxes, due to the intricate cutting involved.

I'll update you all once I do a dry fit.
This might look trashy, so $100 out the window in that case lol.

I'd love to see pictures after it's installed and maybe a tutorial on how to replace it all. Along with source links.

Here's where I bought it from:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004565350621.html

In terms of install - I wouldn't say it's the correct word to use
It's more like "peel of the 3M VHB tape and stick it over top. This may or may not look like garbage.

I'll post some pics after a dry fit, and - if it doesn't look terrible - after it's fully installed (the full install may be a bit of a wait from now, as I'm waiting on a piece of interior trim to replace)

Gotcha. I assumed it was a remove and replace rather than stick it on over what's there.

As promised: pictures of a test fit. It’s okay. Not sure if I like it. Thoughts?

The overall fit is exceptional, but the tape holding it in place may be questionable. It’s easy to remove with no damage, but I don’t know how I feel about it.

Default I think it looks good

I think it looks good. It certainly beats glossy piano black. I'm inspired to try this myself...

I just showed it to my wife - it's her car - and we like it enough we're considering ordering.

Too bad you can't order the entire kit in one order rather than piece by piece. Unless I'm missing something, which I probably am.

I think you can add the individual pieces to your cart one at time before you pay

I think if we keep the car we'll probably get these.

I think it looks nice. It hides some of the fingerprints and dust. I also bought the center piece but it's half, not covering the cup holder.

Thanks for the pics.
Was tempted by the kit but I'm a bit disappointed with the look of the faux carbon print.
Will probably sticks with piano black and microfiber cloth at hand

I got the fake carbon half piece (the controls section). I just taped it on for a week to see how it looked- acceptable or not. It is not great, but I think looks better than the whole section covered.

I guess what convinced me to fully install. I replaced the tires with Crossclimate2. The installed when delivered the car has the keys laying on the left section. That did it, the fake stuff stayed on. LOL

This is Really really really BAD and I would have never let you do this if you were my loved one and I cared for you.

Looks extremely cheap and tacky . I would strongly recommend removal, like immediately

haha okay you gave me a good laugh. But honestly, it's not BAD, to each of their own I guess. I think it's nicer than seeing fingerprints everywhere.
