Default Best advice to keep setup simple and reliable

Hi, All

At long last I pick up my 350H with luxury package tomorrow. I have been reading advice about setup issues and there is a lot to wade through (Northside Lexus videos and posts). Since I will drive it 99% of the time I plan to keep configuration as simple as possible to try to avoid things like the 'enter pin' issue in remote areas or other quirks. I expect advanced features will be more reliable next year after software updates and maybe then I'll set up multiple configurations.
On pickup I'm going to do as little configuration as possible until I have a better understanding of the issues and advice that I've read about over the past few months but haven't fully absorbed or synthesized as yet.
Does anyone have advice for how to configure when I will be almost the exclusive driver and am seeking as rock-solid a configuration as possible while I wait for software to mature?

Thanks in advance and looking forward to the new adventures!

FWIW, I’m the sole driver of my 350h (non-HUD) and haven’t run into the odd problems posted on the forum. The infotainment guy at my dealership was very proficient and set up my iPhone during delivery and gave me a tutorial on the car’s features. The NX has been problem free since it was delivered last month. Well . . . the PIN issue appeared once.

Overall I basically just get in the car and go, not much thought into it.

Thanks ... I picked it up this morning and your advice was helpful. I listened to the dealer's tech advisor and did the same as you -- installing the App and scanning the QR code. It was easy and works great.

And wow, what a great driving experience! I never test drove before ordering, just decided it was right for me based on my experience owning every RX generation (most of them hybrids), owning the new RAV4 hybrid for my wife and liking it a lot, and then the reports/reviews/ClublLexus discussion of the NX 350h. I'll write up a comparison to my 2016 RX 450h in a separate thread some day as I'm delighted with the NX, from handling tightness and powertrain to how well-integrated the Carplay experience is (with ability to stay in Carplay mode but issue Hey Lexus voice commands when that's the easiest way to accomplish something). The wait was worth it for sure!

We have the Base with a bit less tech than your Premium. I read through the online manual and watched Northside videos like you. Getting your ride and working with it will make you more comfortable on the set up. I was able to skim through the videos when I had a question...I'm really happy with the set up and overall seems very intuitive. My wife, who is fairly non-techie, likens it to an iPhone and loves our new ride. She never liked out 2015 NX200t, mainly because of the touch pad.
