One key fob :-( (Merged single key fob issue threads)

Yeah it kinda of suck just having one key fob, dealer is telling me most likely after July the 2nd fob will be ship out to my home and will need to be programmed by the dealer. Anyway, I am seriously thinking about buying another key now for my wife, she tends to lose keys. Oh well, wrote the check for $52K already, what another $300 or so.

A car salesman (now there "sales associates") tell a lie or tell you what you want to hear-------------------Is the sun going to come up in the morning!!!!!!!!!
Apparently some folks have been waiting 7 or 8 months for that second fob. I'd be willing to bet Toyota/Lexus has reduced production of the chip for the fob so another chip used for some other technology overkill item will operate. Just MHO of course.

I would have never purchased my NX (or any car) if they offered me only one key fob, then again that would have worked out just fine the Lexus dealer would have the car and not me. I have done some searches and with a few exceptions this is mainly a Toyota/Lexus problem? Technology overkill.
A friend of mine bought a Ford Expedition couple of weeks ago.
It was shipped workout several features that are supposed to be part of that package. It's missing Start/stop along with some other convince features.
I think Toyotas approach to delay a keyfob is much better than omitting features that can never be added to the car.
This is the times we live in and there is no end in sight.
BEST times for corporations!!!! Why change it...

I got my 2023 NX450 in Feb 2023. I got an email in April from Lexus saying to expect my second key in July 2023.

Was your NX manufactured in Japan? If so, then it would match the schedule in the Lexus document posted earlier. I am assuming CBU is for Japan and NAP is the Canadian factory. The Japanese cars are scheduled to get keys in July and NAP in September. This is the first evidence I have seen that the document may be legit.

Are they mailing us the key to our house or will we have to go into the dealership to get I programed? My sales guy seems to imply they would mail it to us directly using our address and the car already had it programmed to work.
