I just washed my car the first time yesterday. I noticed the triangular piece on the left site of the moon roof pops up. I tried to push it down but it doesn't click. I am just worrying about water leak. I will ask the dealership to take a look this Friday.

 

This is a common issue on the new NX models with the panoramic roofs when coming from the Cambridge Ontario plant it seems. I believe they have fixed the issue, as the last few NXs that have come to the dealership are fine. But is an easy fix for any body shop and possibly Lexus mechanic. Shouldn't leak in the meantime though, it is just cosmetically ugly.

 

I had that exact same issue on my NX too.

Just open the roof, stick your head out then use your hands to push that side trim corner down as much as you can. I hit it a few times gently to make it flush with glass roof. Seriously.

I did that and now sits flush, nothing is broken. Now trim piece is staying down.

Or if you have the time, bring it into the dealer and they probably do the same.

 

Mine was like this on both sides. Cambridge built. I just pushed it in hard. Been flush ever since.

 

Dealer fixed it today and the advisor said they re-applied double-sided tape!
