We had this happen just yesterday while using Waze. We continued to receive verbal directions but the icon showing direction of travel froze and then totally lost connection and went through the phone's speaker. I rebooted the system when we got into better cell service range and it resumed tracking correctly.

I really only use 2 sources, Spotify and another app from a local radio station. I have seen this situation happen more on Android devices than Apple. Hopefully this gets resolved with a long overdue update from Lexus.

I've experienced where Waze doesn't update the location, but that seems to be an Apple thing to conserve battery. I had to change the permissions of Waze to always have location for it to work properly. I have also noticed that the Waze speedometer is much faster than what I am driving, it always gives me a beep that I am over 15 km over speed limit when I am only 5-6 over.
The issue with Spotify seems a little more serious with my vehicle now. With or without my phone being connected (after no sound on Spotify) I won’t have sound on my actual radio or even when I say “hey Lexus”. Maybe the issue isn’t Spotify but my actual vehicle. I already know that I can’t take it to the dealer without it doing it.

I found a troubleshoot from Spotify online over the weekend. So far, it has completely fixed the no audio issue. Below are the steps they posted (I’m sure android is similar)
If you have an iPhone:
1: In Spotify and click the gear/settings
2: Go to storage: delete downloads and clear cache
3: In phone settings, general, iPhone storage
4: Choose Spotify, offload app, then delete app
5: Turn off iPhone for several minutes
6: Redownload the Spotify app
I haven’t had a single issue since following these steps when it used to happen daily.
