Default Question on radio and turning off car.

Hopefully someone can shed light on this question and sorry if it’s been asked before. Can’t find anywhere. I have 22 NX350h

Radio continues to play when I turn car off…..till door opened. Can this be changed so it goes off when car powered off?

Thank you.

My other vehicles in the past does the same thing, the power will stay on for a few minutes to allow you to control the windows, radio, sunroof etc then it will turn off by itself unless you open the door as you mentioned. I guess that’s just how it was design for for most Japanese manufacturers and I don’t think you can change it as far as I know.

Nearly every car we have owned will continue to play to radio after engine shutdown until the driver's door
is opened Except the four Lexi we have had (2010 HSh, 2014,2018,2020 ESh. Really miss the ease of
saving (a tiny amount of) gas while listening to the end of a news story. New for 2022 NX's and apparently
all future Lexi we get the feature my 2008 Impala had. Sorry you don't prefer it, I will research the settings
to see if it can be back dated.

I thought there was a post a couple of months ago and someone said the way to do this was changing the ACC customize setting to on from off.
Could be wrong that this will turn off the radio when you turn the car off. I remember my radio shut off when i turned the car off and changed this setting so it would stay on.

You change that setting and it will work. In fact you can just press the power button to turn it off if you stay in the car. You can even turn the infotainment on without starting the car.

@FastFord is correct. This setting is explained in the Deep Dive Part 2 video posted on YouTube by Melissa O'Connell of Northside Lexus. Fast forward to 1:36:30 in the video.

Thanks for info. I’ll give it a try later. Not a big deal but wanted to turn off if possible.
