Is this issue related to the 22’ or 23’ model?

Not yet, the Ajax dealer I went to just learned of the problem this week, had 3 owners. I guess Lexus or Toyota will need to study the issue and create a fix

Is everyone experiencing this issue in cold climates? I took delivery back in Nov for a 2023 model and haven't encountered it at all. Located in Toronto

If you do not experience this issue then consider yourself lucky, and your door handles were constructed properly. Lets hope you haven’t spoke too soon, as this weekend the temps are going to fall.
Good Luck, I hope your door handles are fine

My service advisor called me today and he is assuming this will at least take half a year for Lexus based on his past experiences

Had my NX450h+ since March and it snowed also a few days after I took delivery. Up to now, no issues with my door handles. I had my hood with frozen water pebbles and no issues at all so far. (Knock on wood as well). I did have issue with the charging door as it was frozen one day. But I was able to crack the ice and open the door.

It will melt with your warm fingers over the rubber pad (in the handle) after a few minutes. It's only my driver's side that freezes, I craw over from the passenger side. You can still open the door from the inside, so it's not a safety issue in case of an emergency.

I’ve been following this thread for my 22’ NX350H and haven’t experience this issue yet. This morning it was cold and freezing ice, I tried opening all 4 doors and it does open but felt like it’s going rip the door panel off as I can see it’s moving in out and out when I try to pull it. Sigh, why did Lexus change this door handle design is beyond me and they should have stick with what have been working flawlessly for the last few generations!!

We are in the same area, this morning I didn't see issues with the door handle even when the whole car was full of ice and snow.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? is this something the dealer will fix/ replace?
it is currently 29 F here and I had my driver’s side handles freeze. It’s happened before, as well. Mine is a 2022. 350H. Luckily, the passenger side doors were able to be opened. I got in the front passenger seat, reached over and opened the driver’s door from the inside. That only will work if there’s an unfrozen handle available!
What a bummer to discover in the snow.
