Thank you, I've been driving my Corvette the last 2 days so the NX is at my storage building. From what I can remember my setting are the same except 30 sec. delay and all doors unlock.

Like everyone else I have to put my finger over the stupid sensor for the car to lock. The Engineer that came up with the "sensor locking" idea must have received his degree as the prize in a box of Cracker Jacks.
Anyone that has figured how to "auto lock" a 22,23 or 24 NX 350 or 450 please share your knowledge with the rest us dummies.
I am pretty sure this is auto re-lock and not automatic lock as I walk away. Auto re-lock is if I unlock door by mistake (key fob in pocket) and no one opens the door for the time set it will re lock the car. I have not found an auto lock section (for automatically locking as I walk away).

I think you are correct.

@azieba I wasn't sure what was happening when I first posted about it. But the more I dig, the more I believe you are correct.

The auto relock feature only works if the vehicle is unlocked but none of the doors are opened within the specified lapse time and there's no key inside the vehicle, then the vehicle will auto lock itself.

When a door/hatch is opened, there is no auto lock feature.

It's like that by design. Nothing wrong with this concept.

After checking out the settings I agree "It's like that by design" but "nothing wrong with this concept" is a poor excuse for proximity locking which has been used by most auto makers for years and is light years ahead of the put you finger over the sensor to lock on the NX. Overkill on some of the tech and an out dated concept on locking the car.
