Well. it's more than cosmetic. I just purchased a '22 NX 4 months ago. It must have been last off the line for the '22 MY. I tell my salesman I wanted a'23 but he said if I didn't take this one I would go back on the waiting list. Now in 6 months I will have a 2 year old car? Will Lexus compensate me on the depreciation? Ha Ha. I guess my car insurance may go down hardly compensation. Lexus is making a big mistake, there should be a lot of pissed off '22 owners out there.

Well if what others are saying is true, 2024 may be arriving a lot sooner than the Fall. Your car could be 2 yrs old by early summer when ‘24’s hit dealer lots.

Yeah if they realease the 24s early it’ll screw over a lot of people who already bought. Plus the next person who buys the car will be getting an older car than they’re expecting. Let’s say the 24s come out in early summer 2023, the owner keeps it three years then trades it in which would be summer 2026. The next owner of this “2024” NX who buys it in 2026 will be getting a car fully three years old instead of two or less years old which the model year would suggest.

I talked to my salesman and he said he's heard nothing about the 24 nx coming. I'm thinking this is all internet jibberess.

Finally able to secure a 2024 NX350H, no price change from 2023. This is a base model with all the options my wife wants, moonroof, power rear door and heated steering wheel, plus some other minor accessories. Dealers agreed to MSRP only ,no markup and no forced add ons. Should arrive the dealer by mid April.
only thing is all black interior, which she is ok with. I kinda like the red interior.

The only thing is this dealer is in S. Cal and I am in the SF Bay Area. Gotta fly down and drive it back……weekend trip guess. Seems like all the SF Bay Area dealers are getting Premium and Luxury packages.

Two pics showing the difference in the 2023 and 2024 NX interior. The glove box being same color now as the seats and the trim on the passenger side edge of center console.

Confirmed with my SA that Lexus is going to start 2024 model end of March this year, so I'm guessing literally March 31 to early April since he said my car will be a 2023 model and ETA is March 20th to March 24th.

Interesting. My SA give me the dealer internal doc that indicated my wife's 2024 build date is 3/4/23, Vessel Depart 3/16/23, Vessel Arrive 3/30/23, Processing date 4/13/23.......I am in California.

At this point, anything come from my SA... I take it as fantasy. I believe it is more a real deal this time as he rushed me to apply for provincial rebate in February with ETA build date in Japan. Mine is 450h+ and I'm in Vancouver, Canada.
IF the build date ETA he gave me is real, then I am expecting the car maybe this summer? I personally expect the car will be here in September is more realistic but who knows...

yeah I get it. Don’t know who to believe anymore. Anyway in our case we have 2 perfectly good cars, no rebate on our 350H, not worry about interest rate as we are paying cash. So when and if the car pops up, great. If not, life goes on.

After thinking we wanted an NX and being frustrated with the wait and price and availability of options we wanted, test drove an IS350 F Sport and just had to have it but man it’s a guzzler. Dealer came down a few thousand from MSRP which was nice plus talked them out of the add ons but they did insist on being paid for the tint which was already applied.

The IS350 F is a nice car, love the design, especially in darker color.
Yeah it is a guzzler and not easy to light foot it. My 2017 ES350 average around 20MPG mix. On hwy if I keep it around ~70-75, it gives me close to 29-30 MPG.

Yep looks great in darker colors, they had every color on the lot and I took turns walking up to each like I owned it and the Cloudburst Gray with red interior made me smile the most each time. Wife and I swap cars with each other so I’ve put a few hundred miles on it since and have already gotten unsolicited compliments from strangers.

Getting 19.7 combined around town, my ES hybrid gets over 43 running the same routes and that’s on regular not premium!

The F Sport seats are surprisingly good making me wish I’d have gotten our ES as an F. Driving experience and perceived build quality put my 23 ES300h to shame and that’s saying something, the IS is crazy solid.

I do worry about trade in value for the IS when we’re done with it, both for it already being a low demand vehicle plus the risk that low MPG used cars could plummet in value if fuel goes through the roof. My plan is to not keep it very long and trade for a plug-in crossover next. So even though the NX is pricey for what it is, there’s probably good residuals due to demand and relative efficiency.

Nice. My wife's incoming NX H is also Cloudburst Gray, but with black interior. Cloudburst is the only color she wants. I wanted the red interior but hard to find, she was OK with black.
My 2017 ES350 is Atomic Silver with light Gray interiors which I like, it feels more airy with lighter color. I was really set on Atomic Silver, I think it look great on a sedan, not so much on an SUV though IMO.

I might pick up a used 2-3 year old low mileage LC500H when our kids goes off to college in about 2-3 years. Let's see if their tuitions will cost me how many LCs.
