Thank you!
I'm assuming that the trunk, cargo storage lights, and interior lights can be changed with the same bulb?

I was going to do a DIY write up for this exact trunk lighting.

I didn't realize there's a thread already for it

The only thing that has to be replaced is the double sided tape, it doesn't stick well and keeps falling off.

the only interior lights you can replace are the vanity lights behind the visors and yeah, these would fit in the 2015 and 2016 models, although you probably don't want the really bright ones

the dome light is already LED and is actually part of the entire enclosure, so you can't just replace a bulb for that

What do you recommend if I want to change the interior lights?
I don't white them to be blinding, but I do like the white color or something similar to it. Not a fan of yellow.

if you're talking about the vanity lights, I would get the basic LED:

You're probably hardly going to use them, and since those are so close, you don't want to go blind.

a year later finally took the pic..LOL well I got new bulbs too and now have a 2017 F-sport. The other bulbs were a better improvement over the factory but these are way brighter and cheaper love them..

Back up led bulb.

Also put these on the cargo area.

I'm sure you can skip the step of shaving the panel to allow the wire to come through. Even if you pinch the wire, it won't be enough to cause any problem.

Hi, guys,
Has anybody tried this mode in 2018 NX300 AWD yet?
I had a very difficult time taking the plastic light assembly off. It looked like there was no space between the plastic light cover and the plastic surrounding to insert anything to pry the cover off. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,

It's actually 28mm - NXOwner has a useful thread from 2015 on this...I ordered the 28mm which is a Mazda part. It made a big difference in the amount of light in the cargo area. It's also an easy swap - 5 minutes and you're done. Sorry I didn't link the original post but searching "Cargo Light" will bring it up.

NX 300 AWD F-Sport cargo light assembly
Here is the picture of the cargo light assembly in the 2018 NX300. As you can see, the cover sits very tight and I was afraid to insert anything between the light cover and the plastic without damaging the assembly.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

They may have switched to LED already. My 2015 has a switch on the assembly and your's doesn't. If they switched to LED, they may have left out the switch since the LED takes so little power. Is the light yellow or white?

Normally, you could take a plastic pry bar and insert it on one of the short sides and pop it out. You may need to experiment on which short side to work on.

I know for the dome light, the LED is integrated into the fixture, so we can't replace that.
