Default NX200T Oil Catch Can

Has anyone installed an Oil Catch Can? I currently have a universal one from Sakou-Michi. It was previously for a Mini Cooper, but I was going to use it for this car.

I lifted the engine cover and noticed (in what looks like) two lines in front for the crankcase and two lines in the back for the PCV. It looks like we may need two catch cans for this application. I'll take a snapshot later, but I wanted to know if someone has done this already.

A catch can has been discussed a couple times on here, but nothing has really come of it.

To be honest, unless you plan on doing full pulls and driving very aggressively, you're not going to get enough blowby to make a catch can worth it. I have one on my Camaro, but I drive "spiritedly" and even then only get a couple ounces of oil in the can after 3000 or more miles.

You'd be better served to drive a couple thousand miles, then pull the throttle body and see how much oil is on the plates. If its rather dry, you're fine....if its saturated, then you can start pursuing a can.

Just my 2 cents...

Thank you EPA schmucks...

Appreciate the response. I actually did check the oil catch can thread, but they were talking mainly about Naturally Aspirated vehicles. Turbo'd vehicles tend to have more blow-by which is my concern.

A turbo engine will burn oil more than an NA engine, but it still goes back to my original point, how do you plan to drive it?

Honestly, pull the intake off in a couple thousand miles and see how much oil film is on the plate. Then decide.
