Depends upon where you are, and what you need.
"Southern California" could be anywhere from Bakersfield (some would say Visalia) to San Diego.

I like to take my car to Todd over at TMEngineering.
Oh, and I live in NorCal.
I have guys I can go to here in NorCal too but if I am planning a visit to SoCal and I have some pending work, I try to work it out so I can take the car to Todd. Great guy to shoot the breeze with and he knows cars.

tech, I am in San Diego too man.
I am about to do my 30K service myself because lexus was going to charge me $660 !!!!
If I need help I'll PM you if that's cool and you can tell me what I'm doin wrong.
I'll be at 240 000 miles soon so will need my 60K service done including timing belt hopefully by that time you can point me in the right direction.
