Would someone please recommend an excellent independent mechanic or garage in the L.A. /Orange/San Bdo. counties that specializes on Lexus and charges rates below the dealer?

My car is out of warranty and it would be nice to have a list handy, just in case.

 

Well, I don't live in SoCal so I don't know where the county lines are but I'd have to recommend TMEngineering.

i believe he's chinese but trust me, thy do very good work. i had my timing belt replaced for $175.00 and
thy had 2-3 guys that worked on my car. it took them 2 hrs.

he also specializes on swapping supra motors on gs300......but dont even ask how much cuz it's too much. the good thing is that he does not use japan 2jz-gte mtors....he uses usdm 2jz-gte so that parts wud be available and not very hard to locate.

On Luxury Motorworks.com Steve knows about every nitty gritty detail about these cars. He never fails to amaze me. Asked him details about retrofitting heated seats, he knew off the top of his head as he's done that. Asked about issue on retro-fitting a Nakamichi amp, he knew that as he's done that.

And, he runs it like a Lexus dealership. Loaner car and all.
