Looking to put tint on my brand new 04 LS 430. Any recommendations?
BTW, my car is Flint Mica/Black, any suggestions on how dark I should tint it?
Tks!

(sorry to any cops who peruse these boards but to state it plain and simply...I HATE you guys, nothing more, nothing less, you serve absolutely no purpose in my life). I get a gun in my face and get shot at because I won't give up MY car and you harass ME, I call you because a friend of mine was shot after a brawl around the corner from my house and you harass ME, my chick gets harassed by some gangbanger at a gas station because she won't accept his advances so I go to the scene and box with the dude and you throw ME in jail for disorderly conduct and assault?!?! WTF?!?! Sorry to rant guys and gals but I just despise cops, and it appears the feeling IS mutual. Sorry, just venting...it's been a rough couple of months

Window tint - California
A few years ago the California Vehicle Code was changed allowing one specific film to be applied to the front two doors of cars / trucks in California.
The legal film is called LLumar UVShield. This film is a light (25%) tint that stops 99.9% of A and B UV from passing through it. It will also stop you from getting a tint ticket. The CHP and some local agencies are now writing the tint ticket as a $77.00 fine (no more fix it).
With the legal UVShield you get a manufactures certificate that your car is legally tinted.
www.ca.gov.dmv section 26780 last three paragraphs describes the legal film and the certificate required.
If you want more information on legal tinting please check out this web site or call (949) 365-9092. We are in Mission Viejo, Calif.

it doesnt have to be done with this shop, im pretty sure other places in SoCal can offer us this tint job, and prices could vary, i will be doing some price quotes when im ready for a tint job.
a tint shop i found that can also do this, if you do not want to go to mission viejo is
CP FILMA INC.

Orange, CA 92868

hi, after making a few calls around town....seems like most poeple use either the Llumar or SolarGard films. I'm sure there are also tons other brands out there that are comparable or better too. I am trying to search for a comparison test on all the auto tint films, but can't find one. I'm sure one of the auto mags or consumer report must have done a comparison report before. i just wanna find out the pros/cons on all these brands. Any suggestions? Tks a lot!
