I called Thursday to schedule for service on the family's 2001 S500 (only 10k miles). The SRS light came on, ac not that cold even at 55degrees, and the driver seat was loose, esp. on turns. Only time that I could bring it in was Friday morning. They didn't want to give a loaner car b/c it was a Friday issue. I needed to just drop off the car and get to work in their loaner, even if it's a crappy Chevy Cavalier-yes for an S500 you get a Cavalier!!! The service guy (Jack-714-562-1216) said "we will have to check the car to see if the repair is justifiable for a loaner "-which will take about 3 hours. I told I don't have time to wait around-I need to get to work. He insisted on not giving a loaner. So I told him if Friday was your issue, then schedule me next week on Monday. Same answer- you have to wait to see. I was courteous and not an A$$ like he was. He said that this was a "new" policy for about a year. A NEW POLICY TO NOT GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS LOANER CARS FOR AT LEAST 2 MAJOR PROBLEMS? He was full of Sh$%&!!! I called Fletcher Jones and they were a lot nicer. As a matter of fact, since the car was almost out of warranty, they said that they'll do more inspections to check for any other possible problems. While I was there, a sales advisor Erick gave me a test drive in a CL600. Very nice and very fast!!! Moral of this story (from my own experience): HOUSE OF IMPORT SERVICE SUCKS (don't get Jack or you'll get Jacked).

That is sad..."Nobody beats the House!" I suppose that means poor service.

I had similar experiance before.. House of Import SUCK A$$!!!

I can't say I ever encountered either the House of Import shop or Jack.

As for you CaptainBone, it's a good thing you don't have to worry about this.

That's okay if you're on MBWorld.com but this is ClubLexus. Lexus service department customer service is always great. Can't speak for MB dealerships since this is a Lexus forum.

I got my CL 600 from Caliber motor in Anaheim...... Small dealership but very nice service and people. Big dealer like House of import, they may have great deals on cars but no after service what so ever !!

Good luck with your S500 !!! Trade that sucker in and get that beautiful SL500 !! LOL

Totally agree with you Jay Sales was nice but service was verrrrrrry horrible after that.
After dropping the car for service at Fletcher Jones (which was alot nicer), I tested the CL600. Verrrrrrrrry impressive car!!! I loved that ABC. I did a right turn going 80!!! And he wanted me to push the car even harder!!! I so envy you on your CL600. Well, since the S500 is going to be out of warranty in August, they said that they're going to do some fine combing to catch any "possible" problems. Anyone heard of the GST from MB? It's suppose to be a full size SUV in the next year or so?

SL500 is nice, but a little unpractical for now.

i can vouch for Fletcher Jones, my mom got her MB c240 from FJ and she loves their service, free car washes and free drinks, a bunch of other things to do there. they do anything to make sure your business with them was pleasant.
