Default Independent Mechanic In Marin County?

What a terrific site. I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the correct forum, but I'll give it a shot nevertheless. I have a 1994 ES300 with 130K basically trouble free miles. The car has been making a clucking/thumping noise in the rear when driven over marginally rough/rolling pavement. Moreover, the car slightly pulls to the right although I've had the wheels aligned.

From what I've read, I may need new bushings. Assuming that I need new bushings, is it unsafe to drive the car?

Finally, can a kind person recommend an independent mechanic in Marin County who can properly diagnose and replace the bushings (again, assuming it's the bushing)? Thanks for all the info.
