Default anyone know about this??

Heard it through the grape vine..

"Each vehicle license number plate shall be placed or hung in a horizontal position at a distance of not more than four feet from the ground and shall be kept clean so as to be plainly seen and read at all times. In cases where the body construction of the vehicle is such that compliance with this section is impossible, permission to deviate therefrom may be granted by the state patrol."

Here in Bellevue if you brought that up, the cops wouldn't know what to do so they'd just shoot you....

I have heard about all of that except the part where it says that permission can be granted by the state patrol. But otherwise, yes, your plate must be some certain heigh, be kep clean, must be legible from some certain distance away, and it must be illuminated at night.

Well, for fun I like to talk to the snohomish county sheriffs when I see them parked. I asked once if I could deface my front plate and he said he didn't think so but he'd do nothing about it. He also said he wouldn't pull you over for not having one, and would only ticket you if you **** him off.
