Default Help w/ Housing in Seattle

My family and I just came back from our trip to Seattle, and we just purchased a house around Seattle, and we are thinking of moving there around mid August from Cali. But we need to remoldel the house before/while we moved in because the house is fairly old.

Are there anyone out there that would be kind enough to suggest a good designer/ contractor/ remoldeling company.

I want to thank yall ahead for taking time reading and helping out.

Peter Davis Builders did a huge remodel on our house. I think they did a great job!

Congrats on the purchase. I work with multiple groups of home designers and remodelers, let me know what all needs to be done because there are different companies that target specific areas. WA is a MUCH better area to live than Cali... You'll soon find this out for yourself At first it may not seem as fun, but once you find all the places to go, (San Juan islands!) you will enjoy it a ton!

I don't know of many that do this but I would suggest coming up here and checking every contractor out yourself its a slippery slope with contractors. Good stuff crowding up Seattle from Cali huh.. SO or NO cal?

nope traffic isn't as bad but if you are coming up from Aug 10 - 25 I5 north has the biggest construction it has ever had and might turn it into LA traffic because it is closing down to all but 2 lanes in a stretch of downtown. Cops can be tricky there are a bunch of unmarked cars now but play it by ear I guess. So what you moving up here for? new job?

After you drive on I5 a few times, you can start to pick out certain spots where they'll park and troll for speeders. On sunny days, I've seen motorcycle cops on the shoulders with their radar guns out.

The traffic is never too bad, thankfully. It gets busy during certain hours of the week, but the traffic usually keeps moving. In my opinion, the people are generally pretty nice on the roads.

Generally nice yes but they drive like *****s comapred to So Cal so be prepared for some slow *** drivers. The speed limit is taken quite literally you will find most people go 60 MPH when in So Cal the avg will be like 75 - 80

haha this is pretty true. I always see people doing 55-60 in the fast lane when the speed limit is clearly 60.

I admit it! I am one of those slow drivers! I don't clog up the left lanes though.
