Default Trying to find a shop in socal for a 2jz swap

Hi, I'm new. I have been interested in getting a sc300/400 for a long time. I finally have the money and I am about to sell my toyota matrix to get one.

I was interesting in getting a 1998 sc400 but it looks like insurance is going to be to high.

So now I am looking at getting 1993-1996 sc300 and doing a 2jz swap but I want it to be able to smog. I dont want to deal with cops sending me in to get checked and having to swap the engine back to stock.

I am wondering how much it would cost to get a usdm 2jz put in.

I want to take the car in drop it off and drive out with a reliable car. I am not stuck on getting a manual or an auto.

My friend tells me it would be about $6000.

Are there any shops that offer warranty's?

I'm also interested in hearing some prices for the jdm models too.

By 2jz I assume you want to put in a 2jzGTE since the stock sc300 is a
2jzGE. Anyways, if you are in CA you still cannot pass smog or get the BAR sticker to be exempt even if you have a usdm 2jzgte.
