I just bought a '03 GS300 with 53K miles for $18K.
You would probably sell it for $10-12K.
The mods would turn off older people that have cash.
That is a tough price range to sell. It would take forever to sell though. A lot of people don't have $ to pay cash out and some lenders (like BECU) don't loan on cars older than 5 years old. If they do the interest rate is pretty high.
I do know someone who is looking for a car in this range though if you are interested.

Sucks to hear that you might be selling, but I know what you mean. There are times when I feel the same.

Let me know if you decide to part out your car, I'd be interested in a few things (kit/coils).

Sold mine for $21,000 a few months back. And had offers for $24,000, but sold it to a good friend.

If you truly loved the car, then you did the right thing to sell it to your friend for a bit less. I know that I wouldn't let my car go to some young DrifTZ0r!!!!1! knowing he'd most likely F it up.

What if you knew that your friend would most likely do the same thing. He had just got his lic back after spending 8 months in the hospital after totalling his GTI which was a full international magazine car....
