i heard that the parking officers at the U-District is pretty nasty. I've always been careful when parking there.

I hear they're all 10 feet tall and wear the skin of children and if you don't pay up, they rape you

Maybe this is a dumb question, but can you have the plate in the window and be okay? I live in Oregon, but do head to WA all the time... About to have new 97+ front bumper painted and I really hate the idea of putting holes in it.

i am pretty sure its okay as long as you got the plate in the window and is visible... and if you get pulled over, not saying you would, just tell the officer that you have it displayed in the front window and will put it on later when you receive the licence mounting bracket.

It seems to me that Sheriffs are the most lax people about this, I've never had a problem with no front plate around them. I've been pulled over for it once by a State Patrol on 405 near Bothell when I had my 240SX, he gave me a warning. And just last week I got pulled over in my SC by a rookie Mill Creek cop that was giving me crap for not having my front plate. I told him I'd just bought the car, and he let me go. lol

Also, it is okay to have the front plate displayed in the window. Police will tell you it isnt, but my friend has the RCW printed and carries it in her truck so IF she gets pulled over, she shows them it. haha

Snohomish county sheriffs are on the hunt for no front plate violators right now. TKO knows my sheriff friend that does this.

There is no RCW that says it CAN be displayed in the windshield. It says 'in the front of the car' People interpret that to mean anywhere on the front half of the car. Cops do not see its writing the same way. And they will NOT be happy with you if you pull that out and try to argue. Ask me how I know.....
