WA: I need help shaving my fenders!?!?!
#16
He's just looking for a little bit of room, PLUS he has bondo work on one of his fenders. Wont that crack if you try rolling it, regardless of using a heat gun that's intended to heat up the paint. For a half an inch, with his given circumstances, wouldnt it be all around easier to just cut off the lips. I understand what you're saying hobojoe, just cut little slots out and fold it unward so it's a little stronger then just one layer of sheet metal.

Thanks for all the input given, everyone!
I would like more details on this route?
There's also the cutting/rolling combo. My buddy did it to his NSX and basically all he did was cut out little triangular bits from the wheel well (the part that needs to be rolled) and bend the sections back until he felt comfortable with the space. Hard to explain but it turned out great on his car, and maybe you could avoid that bondo patch as well.

Bumping this back up to the top!!!
I was wondering if anyone is willing to help a guy out. I will do all the work, so there isnt anyone to be at fault, but myself
I know I need a cutting wheel (which I dont have), and an angle grinder (which I also dont have). I can probably find someone that has these tools. So, no stress if you dont have them.
Post up, if you want to help. Food will be provided with any choice of beverage

I would love to roll them, but on one of my rear quarters. There is a half dollar size bondo spot, from a gouge that got repaired. So no rolling/pulling for me
Cutting is my only other option. Plus I might go with a lower offset than I already have now.

I have a dremmel, cut off wheel and an angle grinder. I know the dremmel wont work, but it will be handy to have on hand

I have access to small air sawzall but I have to agree with Rix86 that cutting welds would be a no no. If you don't trust him feel free to come by the house, I live upstairs lol, and see the things being done here
