Default Carson Meet Convoy

PAPASMURF and some of the other SD area CL & ISnet members and I are organizing a "convoy" for the August 10th Carson Toyota Meet.

Tentative Plan: The initial "rally point" will be the Big 5 Sporting Goods parking lot, located on Escondido Parkway. The convoy will the proceed to the Temecula Mall (Promenade) where us Inland Valley members will join. From there, we plan on taking the 15N, 91W, 405N, 110S.

We can add a couple of additional rally points along the way for those that wish to join the convoy. The additional rally points must be within a few miles of our intended route. The intent is to add new members to the convoy that are already taking the propose route...we are not asking anyone to go out there way, but you are welcome to.

If you are interested in participating in the convoy, please post and inclulde the area you are coming from and where you would like to join us

GunnerMac and I are trying to pick points along the way that will be advantages for all. That being said I have selected the first rally point for the SD crew.

Now for the first change.

We will meet at the Mervyn's on Auto parkway just off the 15, in Escondido vice the Big 5 Sporting Goods Store.

If you are rolling North on the 15:
Exit Auto parkway and turn Left at the light.
Go back up under the highway and Mervyn's will be on the right side.
Turn right into the first entrance and we will be on your right.

For those of you coming South on the 15:
Exit Auto Parkway and turn right at the stop light
Enter Mervyn's parking lot at the 1st entrance and we will be on the Right.

Once we have most everybody we will then proceed to the Inland Valley rally point (Temecula Mall) and meet up with GunnerMac and the crew. The ride from Escondido to Temecula is about and 1/2hr to 45 min so we should have a good cruise up.

The time to meet at Mervyn's will be determined as soon as GunnerMac finds out what time we need to be up in Carson.

Thanks for your participation!!

just thought i let you guys know since i'm from the area. you should take the 91 west and just switch to the 110 south. the 405 and 91 don't touch. and if you wanted to go from the 91 to the 405 you would have to get off the free way and drive the regular streets for a good 15 minutes. just go 91 west to the 110 south. its a lot closer. Don't you have to get on 405 N for very short distance just to get on 110 S? I could very easily be wrong, I don't live in the area but I drove to Carson & Harbor City about a 4 times last week and I thought I had to get on the 405.

Jmai22 - I'm referring to the 110S/405N Exit.

Alright guys, let's get those route direction accurate...... It will not be a pleasant trip if we all get lost somewhere on highway 91 or 110. As some of us know that those freeways doesn't always go through your typical suburb area, especially with our lex.

I don't want to be end up on the LA Times next day about a group of Lex owners got lost in SouthCentral area............

We will be coming from 91 W...the exit sign read something like 110S/405N/405S...I usually take that exit and stay to the left.
