^ That bites....
Review? Turnout? Worthy consideration for next year?

I have driving fever this weekend, so I'm off first thing Sunday morning for a two day run. Been wanting to do Wind River Hwy (S.E. of St. Helens) for a few years now so I'll I-5 it down past Chehalis, then cut inland to Randal before heading due south to the Columbia. Not sure about the condition of National forest road 25, but Wind River is suppose to be amazing.
Great Brew Pub and Pizza in Hood River (Double Mountain) to end the night.
All the falls on the scenic highway should be flowing good, and spring flowers are out! Can't sit home and miss it....

^^^Tomorrow is supposed to be nicer than today. Sounds like a great road trip. Damn, only if I could find someone to go with me... Have fun!

Well, Turns out forest rd 25 is still closed on the eastern slops of St. Helens thanks the the tons of snow we got this winter, so I headed inland on the south side of the mountain (towards Ape Cave and Cougar).
I have to say, that leaving Cougar the road is pure adrenalin rush almost all the way to the Columbia. I've got a little in-car video I might try to upload to give you all an idea of the roads. Not the 100% pristine asphalt I had hoped to find, maybe more like 75% good. Still, lots of fun to be had on tight twisty after tight twisty.

I found a new respect for my IS350 that everyday driving simply does not let the car show off.

Overcast really limited my shots down at the falls...
