CA BAY AREA owners!?

Another 925 here, I'm down for a meet as long as I get some early notice. BTW, Lexus of Pleasanton is really really really nice, but they overcharge IMO. Maybe I'm just too used to internet prices and DIY. There are still a few more Bay Area SC members that haven't weighed in here, hopefully they're down for a meet...

Wuddup fellas, ok, so ima start to plan this little bay area meet, i was getting suggestions like making it between Xmas, and New Years, or before the 20th of DEC, or after New Years, and where, somewhere around Palo Alto. If any of you guys have any comments and suggestions, by all means!!!!!!

I like Palo Alto too...
Um, if not a parking lot, where else can we fit a bunch of sweet rides in an open space? Call me weak, but I don't exactly feel like off-roading in an SC.
Actually, Stanford campus is kinda nice and students will be gone for break by then that there should be plenty of paved, open space. Just a suggestion.

Palo Alto is not central enough that we can get a really nice turn out. Last meet was in Fremont and only got 4 SC owners to show.
Berkeley Marina sounds like a winner. The East bay is much more open and central for everyone.
There are several members in Milpitas, Pleasanton, Dublin etc.. not to mention several members wanting to get together from Sac.

Actually there were seven SCs that showed up to that meet, but two left early and one came late. Also, we had about 10 SCs that committed to the meet. I can easily see 15 SCs at the next meet if everyone makes a concerted effort to show up. I agree that a penninsula location wouldn't help turn out with bridge tolls, traffic, and complicated driving directions. The Christmas season doesn't help either. I tried shopping with my girl at the SF Shopping Center on Saturday and we left after two hours of looking for parking (all garages were full/closed). Even Union Square took forever to navigate. I would like a high traffic location like the last Supra SF Marina meet, but that would require a lot of planning and organization to pull off.

I just started using my AOL e-mail instead of my work, so I'm still figuring out how to utilize it.
The intention here is to allow more personal 1 on 1 type communication with local members. I know that in the past 3 months, those that have been on the local distribution list have benefitted in several ways; lots of helpful advice, friendships are growing and as a group, we have been more actively involved.
Anyone who wants to be added to the Local List just shoot me a PM with your e-mail address or e-mail me at rmmgs4@aol.com.
5 of us went over to watch gocart racing over at the Speedring in Santa Clara, last Friday.

Anyone interested in this particular activity, just contact me and I'll try to organize it.

Glen,
The Chat list is a nice idea.
I think we should hold this minimeet at the SpeedRing. Stockton used to have a place called InsideTrack that I used to go to alot. They are moving it to Sac in the coming days. I would have a blast lapping Hermosa and Lex400sc all day in karts.
