Can we eat somewhere decent? A real restaurant perhaps? I doubt/hope many of us want fast food. There is a restaurant called Birks nearby.

Birk's
3955 Freedom Cir
Santa Clara, CA 95054

It is a steakhouse that won the Audience Award for 2002 for best steak in City Search for the area. It is mid-priced at around only $30-40.

How about Peppermill.

Every time I'm inside it feels like I'm in Vegas, except no slot machines.

Default Change of time at Speedring

Guys,
looks like Speedring $crewed us up. They changed their schedule that was advertised on their site. I tried to make reservations and now there is no longer a Sprint Race offered at our scheduled time and the earlier race is booked.

Their next available race is 9pm. I'm gonna have to "make the call" here and commit to this new time.

For all those who were planning to race, can I get a head count of who can make the 9pm or who NOW can't. I don't wanna be the only one racing at 9pm. Remember you must arrive no later than 8:30 to make this race.

So the new plan will be to meet at Speedring a half hour later than originally planned, between 8 and 8:30pm. It appears that this time will actually work out better for several of you.

Dinner tentatively at 7pm at the Peppermill.

If you have any questions/problems, just give me a call on my cell.

Sorry for this change. We have had problems with these guys in the past. I will make sure NOT to recommend Speedring any more and instead promote the NEW track opening in Fremont next month.

Yup

7-8pm, Dinner @ Peppermill. Meet in the lobby or by the cars if it's not raining. I usually park in the street curbside, since it is safer than parallel parking.

8:15-9pm hang outside the Speedring parking lot.

9pm register and start orientation for 9:30 race.

It's just as well you're not bringing your car. I think tonight will be the strongest storm we've seen in a while.

See you at 7pm.

BE SURE TO PARK AWAY FROM TREES.

SPEEDRING @ around 8 to 8:30

I might park in the open lot next to Speedring since they have a lot of trees on the Speedring side.
