San Diego Spring Meet Planning stage......
Hi,
Righ now I am just trying to solicite a meet date from all you guys.
This meet will occur in San Diego area.
Please post all the available weekends that you think you can show up to the meet. We will try to accommondate everyone, if it is possible. You will have the following dates to choose from.
March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30.
Please list your top 3 choices from these dates. (if it rains, we will reschedule the meet)
Possible Activities:
- everyone meet at a pre-planned location.
- drive to a place to eat
- group cruize
to PCH (Oceanside to Mission Bay) or
to Sunset (highway 8 to Ramona then back down to 15) or
to Julian
Since we have been spending much of our time in eating and standing around for the past couple of meets, i think a group cruize would sound really fun as long as the weather permits.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

two possibilities I'm thinking of is an early morning 'drive' followed by lunch in the east county
or a dinner/cruise on PCH/101 or a cruise/dinner on PCH/101

I'm good for the March 2, 9, or 16.
I think something near the coast would be nice. Maybe find a place to meet in Mission beach or Pacific Beach. There are a couple of large parking lots in the Mission Beach area (near the roller coaster). Maybe we can meet there then catch something to eat.

30th is the best time for me! If not 30th then 16th. Just checked out my school calendar and we have some zoo and graveyard trips on other weekends. Can't miss those.
Actually I know a perfect place near mission beach. It has a lot of parking, but there are no barbeque, just places where you can make a bone fire.

Just based on the response that I have so far, it seems that March 16th and March 30th are the two best weekends.
If anyone absolutely cannot make it for those two weekends, please speak up now.......
I really like the idea of having a cruize in the morning then stopping by somewhere to park and eat.
1. need a nice cruzing route
2. a destination where there is food and a good size parking lot. (somewhere around mission bay sounds good to me since we wil for sure catch some attention).
I am still waiting for some of the regular San Diegan to post....Jeffandi, GunnerMac, (I miss Papa already, since he is oversea serving our country )
I guess most of the other local members just gave me a bogus email address that they never check.......oh well.

Keep in mind, its a 3 day weekend...an email on a Friday before a 3 day weekend is asking for slow response
Also, I got FLOODED with **** spam due to it being Valentines and all...emails easily get lost in all that crap...
Roger, if you want, since a lot of people said Mission, we can take my truck down the night before with a BBQ and possibly grab at least 1 or 2 parking lots...???
Anyways, just a thought.

Roger,
I'm lurking but don't want to suggest a date because I'm not sure I will be able to make it, regardless of which date it's held. I will try my best to attend (except 23rd), but us military types are pretty busy these days...even the ones that are not yet forward deployed.

but around the 30th, is about the time I'll have to be in Taiwan again so I'm not 100%
yea beach BBQ would be sweet

If I set the date to the 30th based on all the previous replies....does anyone else have any objection?
Alex, can you make it on that day?
Malik, take the Sunday flight....it is cheaper to fly to Taiwan that day.
Where is Jeff?
