Does anyone but me feel that having a CL meet is unimportant compared to the situation surrounding the Southern CA area? I mean, I would really love to have a meet but in the scope of the Wildfire situation, having a CL meet just doesn't seem appropriate. I would rather donate the money for food to the local RedCross chapter and just meet a have soda. I also know that lots of people will have their car covered in ash by the morning of the meet. This is not the most desirable form of presentation for our cars. That's just the way I feel at least.

I am new to the group, but I would have to agree with siniquezu on this matter. I was really looking forward to this meet, being my first, but in light of the fires, it does seem to have lost importance. My girlfriends uncle has lost a home, as have so many others. I would much rather put the $20-$30 I was going to spend on snacks tward some type of CL California wildfire relief fund. Or even go buy food and donate it to a specific place together. We can still meet, but for a much better cause

I live in scripps ranch. I was pretty much in the middle of all the chaos over the weekend. Thanks for everyone's concern. Our family and our house was spared. Our neighbors werent so lucky though. I think having the CL meet is still a great idea. I look forward to it now more than ever. Its a chance for me to "get away" from all the stress and drama that took place over the weekend. The meet should still take place and i agree with maybe having a little *pot* for people to donate to the red cross or any other orginazation.

The meet and the donation does not have to be mutually exclusive. In fact, the meet will have more meaning and purpose.

This is a great idea to bring together the Regional CL and be associated with charity. I guess that makes CL more that just a "fraternity" or "cult" as my girlfriend puts it.
