Default 97 + taillights on 92 sc400

I have a hyper blink problem. I’m the third owner according to second owner. Lots of wiring already done on this car . I had one side of my 92 sc400 hyperblink with light indicator on but one bulb is out in the light. Anyways I put on the 97 with resistors on each turn signal on the 97 taillights but it still hyperblinks. But light indicator is off now . How can I stop them from hyper blinking .

Grxm,
Are these bulbs LED? If they are you can buy some of the newer LED bulbs that are guaranteed not to blink. Also their is a conversion with I believe diodes you can make on your tailight control switch on the left side in your trunk behind the panel. You can find it here in the Club pages.

The lights are not LED. Also my reverse light doesn’t turn on. On the 97 or the 92 . The 92 tho only the left one does. I also have resistors on the headlights as well. I was starting to think I had to out resistors on every single bulb on the 97 lights. Also where may i find that conversion kit. Also for clarification this is for a 92 sc400

It sounds like you have multiple problems to sort out, with wiring being at the top of the list, but there are also different lamp failure modules (by model and by year) to account for. It's the little plastic box clipped to the trunk structure by the antenna.

I see. I just really want to find the problem . I saw on another thread that some guy said you’d need to put two resistors on each light but where would I put the second since the first two are on either turn signal. Also the right side on the 92 reverse light it was just a burnt and corroded bulb. Also there’s another bulb out on the turn signal . So that’s solved I guess . Now I’m just wondering why when I hook up the 97s the reverse doesn’t turn on

Grxm,
Sorry I am late getting back to you. The bulbs that do not hyper blink are listed on e bay. You should not need resistors with these LED lights. I have never heard of resistors on headlight for any reason but I stand to be corrected. Also looking at the picture of the bulbs in your hand, they appear to have been in water. I had a leak in my RR taillight when I got my SC and the taillight had had water in it and ruined the bulb sockets to a point I had to replace the harness for that side. If your harness is salvageable then you must clean the sockets and I don't know how well the lights will work with the resistors Maybe some one with more knowledge about this than I have will chime in.
Good luck,
Bill
